American & Mexican style foods available. Here can be found happiness and a sense of freedom in life, in an intimate setting ideal for a lovers’ tryst!
Smokey Joe’s creative food was originally based on Amy’s husband who came from America in the Deep South, and cooked plain wholesome southern style food at home. Homesickness for this kind of food has been transformed into the signature dish “smoked pork rib rack”, and with the welcoming Mexican corn-based platter, Taiwan’s traveling foreign friends know they have a place; a simple dinner place, where dishes large and small, bottomless large cups of coffee and relaxed dress code, has created a new dining style. With the vigorous Amerindian atmosphere, the vermillion colored walls and the green cactus landscape only enhances the Tex-Mex association. Here is the place where the fragrance of Mexican passion can be found!
Basically, the floor tile color has a wood likeness, using natural materials to welcome guests so that the first impression is one of familiarity. The service staff’s lively greeting paints a picture of joyful free living, while the large wall oil paintings add to the rustic taste of the western cowboy's lifestyle.
The wooden windowsills, the red and white window frames, and southern Taiwan's sunlight illuminates our mood. Various landscape features complement the Mexican construction style. From the shop exterior, one can envision the joyful mood, the good times, and the great view! The spacious seats are made of solid wood and leather; and the mounted buffalo and cow horns decoration along with the many ornaments including Amerindian aboriginal pastoral icons such as a golden yellow rice ear, dried wheat, a rose bouquet of flowers, a bamboo basket, corn string, garlic string…have all been restored to their original condition.
A mandala hangs on behalf of Indian aboriginal culture, and in lofty status is a chieftain’s feathered headdress, along with a Thai palace aristocrat's bench, and in the international banner area, the Amerindian culture, antique Chinese furniture, and Thai style artifacts are all interlinked. Regarding the dining environment, other characteristics also attract foreign friends here to continue to eat and enjoy the atmosphere.
The extensive bar has it all, with every kind of drink: beer, coffee, coke, tequila, red wine, white wine; all overflowing with enthusiasm to be tasted! You may drink beer to your heart's content, and the large carafe of iced black tea appears to seep dew in a quickening coolness ......the bar staff speak several languages, and whether formal socializing or chit-chat is the order of the day, communication is no problem!
In addition the intimate menu's design pays attention not just to the Tex-Mex spirit, but also matches the best choice of drinks to Chinese style stir-fried dishes, satisfying the public’s fondness for different tastes. The store makes a variety of fragrant cakes daily: basic chocolate, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, apple pie etc. in limited quantities.
